Fencing Installs
- Always call your local utility company to locate buried cables, etc.
- Doweled Fencing
- Mark off where posts go (eg: 8 feet), dig hole on center.
- Dig holes yourself or rent an auger
- Call for references
- Concreting posts not recommended.
- Rule of Thumb - When burying/setting wood posts; 10% of the post length, plus 2 feet should go in the ground.
- Tamp or pack dirt around the post.
- Posts need to buried at the same depth in order for the tops of the posts to be level with each other.
- Don't cut off posts to make the tops even. That will expose untreated wood.
